Introduction to Balochistan Public service commission

Baluchistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) is a provincial-level body responsible for recruiting suitable candidates for civil services and administrative positions in the province of Balochistan. It was established in 1973 under the provisions of the BPSC Act 1973. BPSC Conduct Test, Examination and Interviews for initial recruitment to A) The Civil Services of the Province in B-16 to B-21 B) Any Other Posts Which may be referred to the commission for recruitment by the Government. The BPSC conducts various competitive exams, including the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), the Assistant Commissioner (AC) exam, and the Section Officer (SO) exam, to fill vacant positions in different departments of the provincial government.

Competitive PMS Exam by BPSC:

The Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) is the most prestigious and competitive exam conducted by the BPSC. It comprises a written test and an interview, and the test is conducted in multiple stages. The test consists of three compulsory papers (General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Pakistan Studies) and three optional papers chosen by the candidates from a list of subjects, including History, Law, Sociology, etc. Each paper is of 100 marks, and the total marks of the written test are 1200.

The Assistant Commissioner (AC) exam is conducted for recruitment in the provincial administration. The exam consists of a written test and an interview. The written test consists of six papers, including English, Urdu, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Pakistan Studies, and Islamic Studies/Ethics. Each paper is of 100 marks, and the total marks of the written test are 600.

The Section Officer (SO) exam is conducted for recruitment in various departments of the provincial government. The exam consists of a written test and an interview. The written test consists of four papers, including English, Urdu, General Knowledge, and Pakistan Studies. Each paper is of 100 marks, and the total marks of the written test are 400.

In addition to the competitive exams, the BPSC also conducts departmental exams for government employees to facilitate their promotions. The departmental exams evaluate the candidates’ knowledge and skills related to their field of work.

Other jobs: BPSC also conducts exams for various technical positions, including education, health, engineering, administration, law, and information technology. Some of the popular job titles include Lecturer, Medical Officer, SS, SST etc.

Eligibility Criteria for Jobs by BPSC:

The local/domicile certificate from the Balochistan Province holders and eligibility criteria i.e Education, Age, Experience etc, as per the Service Rules duly notified by S&GAD against the advertised post, subsequently which is reflected in BPSC advertisement.
